Induction by Levitation
Now I want to look at your non-dominant hand and pick a spot on the back of your
hand on which to rest your gaze. And I want to concentrate on that spot with all
your effort.
Through that hand you can feel at your fingertips the type of cover on the
furniture since your touch is so sensitive. And, because your touch is so
sensitive, as you rest your hand there you can feel the slight pressure that
your hand is exerting on the chair. It is only a little pressure but you are
aware of that. And as you concentrate on the spot on your hand, so you can start
to feel that the hand is becoming lighter. The more you concentrate on that spot
the lighter your hand is becoming. Almost as if you had a balloon filled with
helium attached to that wrist you can feel your hand becoming lighter and
lighter and little by little the pressure begins to come off your hand on the
arm of the chair and the hand begins to lift from the arm of the chair as it
becomes lighter and lighter.
Keep concentrating on the spot on the left hand and, as you do so, so will the
hand rise further and further in the air towards your face. It's getting lighter
and lighter all the time and the more you concentrate, the more the hand will
lift. Concentrate on the lifting of that hand and feel it getting lighter and
lighter all the time as the balloon lifts it higher and higher, higher and
higher.
And as your hand is rising so the rest of your body begins to get heavier and
heavier, heavier and heavier which seems to accelerate the lifting of the hand
towards your face. And your hand is getting lighter and lighter and higher and
higher towards your face, and your eyelids can begin to feel heavier and
heavier.
And now your hand begins to turn around and continues to turn around until it is
completely the other way. Keep concentrating on that hand which is turning
around and the more you concentrate on the hand the more it turns. Good. And now
the hand continues to approach your face further and further towards your face,
and when it touches your face so you will go into a deeply relaxed state. An
instant relaxed state of calmness and well-being with your eyelids closed gently
down and your hand will flop down beside you again. Good.
And you continue to go deeper and deeper, more and more into the realms of
relaxation and into a deeper and deeper feeling of calmness and relaxation.
And now I am going to count down from ten to one and on each count so you will
go deeper and deeper into relaxation. 10 ... 9 ...8 ...7 ... 6 ...5 ...4 ...3
... 2 ...1
